Privacy policy
This policy explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It covers the website only. If you or your family receive care from us, the handling of your health information is governed separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which we provide at the start of service.
Please do not send medical details through this website. The forms here are for contact details and a general description of what you need. Anything clinical we will discuss with you by phone, where it belongs.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form, and basic technical information your browser sends to any website.
- Care enquiry form: your name, phone number, city or area, whether care is for a child or an adult, your insurance, the service you think you need, and a good time to call.
- Job application form: your name, email, phone number, the role you want, your licence number if you choose to give it, the areas you would work, your availability, and anything you add in the notes.
- Website analytics: pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, which device, and which link brought you here. This is collected in aggregate and we do not use it to identify you.
Why we collect it
To call you back about care, or to consider you for a role. Nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing, and we do not send marketing emails to people who filled in a form.
Who can see it
Form submissions are delivered by email to our office and are seen by the staff who handle enquiries and hiring. The form delivery service and the analytics provider process the data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Care enquiries that do not become service are kept while we are still in contact with you and then deleted. Job applications are kept for up to twelve months so we can come back to you if a suitable case opens up, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you become a patient or an employee, different records and different retention rules apply, and we will explain those to you directly.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 713-283-6150 or email info@comfortinghands.com and tell us what you want done. You can also opt out of analytics with any standard browser or extension setting that blocks it, and the site will work exactly the same.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers. Analytics may set a cookie to tell a returning visit from a new one. Blocking it changes nothing about how the site works for you.
Children
We care for children, but this website is written for the adults arranging that care. We do not knowingly collect information submitted by a child. If you believe a child has sent us something through this site, call us and we will remove it.
Security
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection. No website can promise perfect security, which is the reason we ask you to keep medical details off these forms and tell us those by phone instead.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
